Recent History
Prior to finding a home at On Location. I had worked for such companies as: Freeman, GES, Term Group, Skytron, and Renaissance Management. I did two tours of duty with Freeman. First as a casual laborer dealing mainly with MRE (extruded metal), Cort Furniture, and the tent. My second stint was as a Freeman Safety Manager. At my short term with GES, I specialized in Carpet. The little bit at Term was typical I&D. When l landed at Skytron, i was the shop Foreman overseeing the fabrication of there product (which was a 3 sided video sign, floor models and hanging models). I traveled the country for Skytron. Eventually they removed themselves from the tradeshow industry, and I found my self back at Freeman for my second tour as you already read. Then as the economy started to change, like everyone i had to adapt. So I stumbled onto Renaissance Management. Where I stayed for the next 3 years. moving up fairly quickly in there ranks. It was during my service with Renaissance that I was able to be in the right place at the right time. As On Location had realized they wanted expand and open up in California. Prior to this they had sub'd all there work to Renaissance. Thus I find myself currently at my new home - On Location as their Regional Manager for California based in Southern California.
Past Life
My past life includes some oddities, as I'm sure everyone has some in there life. As you read through these inserts of mine, you will find that I used to be a Professional Bowler. Never did any real damage in the Pro Ranks. But I found out I could hold my own out on "Tour". So yes I am better than the average bear. I do not bowl to much now, but I've learned it does not take too long to get that feeling back. :) To answer your question, I chose to take care of family instead of pursuing a carear out on "Tour". Yes I miss it, but I do not regret it.
What Else?
There are a couple things I truly love about my job. First is the people. I have been lucky enough to build a strong crew which works for me. That are not only talented, but are genuinely wonderful human beings. I am proud to associated with them. Secondly I love the traveling on some one elses dime. there is nothing like seeing the country let alone seeing it for free (actually getting paid to see it). I have been all over the country, and let me tell you, it is beautiful.
What I have learned:
-Give the respect that you expect to recieve.
-ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS take pride in your work, for it is a true reflection of you. The more you take pride in your work the more clients you will come to have.
-Say what you mean, and mean what you say. If you give your word, Keep it!
